Funnels Agent

The Funnels Agent assists you in building funnels - i.e., sequences of events to analyze conversion and drop-off. In Countly, a Funnel is an ordered series of steps (events) that users progress through, used to track how many users complete each step of a flow. Creating a funnel manually involves selecting events for each step, deciding if the funnel is same-session or cross-session, and possibly adding filters to each step. Cee can handle much of this configuration through conversation:

  • Starting a Funnel Workflow: If you mention creating or analyzing a process/journey, Cee will likely propose using Funnels. For example, you might say, “I want to see how many users go from opening the app to making a purchase.” Cee will suggest: “Let’s create a funnel for that.”
  • Defining Funnel Steps: Cee will ask you to describe the funnel steps in order. It will lookup your event list from the database to find matches for events you mention. It’s smart about matching event names - even if you don’t give the exact event key, it will try to find the closest ones (and if it finds multiple similar events, it may ask you to clarify - e.g. “I found events ‘App Opened’ and ‘App Launched’. Which one did you mean?”).
  • Automatic Funnel Setup: After understanding your desired steps, the agent creates the funnel. By default, funnels are session-independent in Countly (meaning steps can occur across multiple sessions) unless you specify otherwise. If you said something like “in the same session” or your phrasing implied it. Cee will set the Funnel Type accordingly (either “Same session” or “Any session”). It will also create empty query filters for each step by default, meaning no additional constraints on each event beyond occurring at all.
  • Review and Customize: If you need to adjust something you can either tell Cee or adjust it manually.
